The Cottage.
Two bedrooms, one bath — a king and a double. Wood-burning fireplace, full kitchen, private deck. The cottage sits at the quiet end of the property, sixty feet from the dock — close enough to swim before coffee, far enough to feel like the only ones here. Sleeps up to four. Available on its own, or as the cottage half of the whole-property booking. Two-night minimum.
Two bedrooms — one king, one double — one bath, sleeps up to four. The simplest version of the property — we kept it that way on purpose.
A fireplace and a stack of alder.
Wood-burning fireplace at the centre of the room. We leave a stack of split alder by the door — it lights faster than fir, and there's enough of it for three nights even if you keep one going from after dinner. In November the rain on the cedar roof is the soundtrack. We don't apologize for it.
Full kitchen, scaled for two.
Induction range, Bosch dishwasher, Nespresso on the counter. Everything you need to cook a real dinner, scaled for two — the cookware is here, the wine glasses are here, and the espresso is ready before the lake is awake.
One king. One double.
Two bedrooms, one bath — sleeps up to four. Linen sheets in summer, flannel in winter. Lake towels in the basket by the back door — green ones are the dock towels, white ones stay inside.
Blackout blinds in both bedrooms — June light starts at 4:45am here. Most couples take one room and use the other for the bag that exploded.
Covered, west-facing, under cedars.
The covered deck faces west, set under cedars at the quiet end of the property. Coffee at seven, a book at four, the sunset for free. Heat pump for AC, fibre Wi-Fi if you have to take the call — but you didn't come here to take the call.
Sixty feet from the cottage door.
Sixty feet of lawn to the dock, then sixty feet of cedar pointing west into the lake. Sandy beach, deep at the end. Loons at dusk in May; the kids are off the dock from June onward. Cottage guests share the sauna, hot tub, and pickleball court with the main house — or have all of it to themselves when the main house is empty.

Not for you if.
- You want a hotel experience with daily housekeeping.
- You're bringing a dog. Ours stay at our place down the road and one of them is jealous; the cottage is too small to share with one and the lake is unfenced.
- You need step-free access. The cottage has a small step at the entry and the doorway between bedrooms is narrow.
